Strange..I googled up Amdzone to see if I could find the proper link and I can't get into the site period. Maybe the whole place is down.

    seems like.

as for the performance... i don't know how close they are since we can't get into the site, but other sites have shown that AMD's X2600 isn't much better than nVidia's 8600GT... of course, this is AMDzone...

Ironically enough nvidiazone shows the x2600 getting crushed.

We still don't have an AMD Radeon DX10 part, and frankly we don't feel like buying one. If AMD wants to send one our way we will gladly add those numbers.
So I'm guessing it's an unaffiliated fansite.

it's just most likely they were "given" a few of the nVidia cards earlier... but not yet given any AMD parts.

those benchmarks seem about accurate. you've got to realize that the 8600 is still a great little card...the 8800's are just SO beyond all the other cards in nvidia's lineup that it can't compete. we were in the generation of 24 and 32 pipe cards, and nvidia skipped to about a hundred, upping the price accordingly.

Isint it kinda ironic that AMD zone reviews Nvidia cards, which blow away anything AMD ( I mean ATI ) has on the market...?
