WD 10,000 raptor 150 gig, what is the difference

What is the difference between these Western Digital Hard Drives, OEM and Retail??????? The retail is WAY more expensive.

Will the OEM have all the cables I need when I do my computer build? If not can you guys find what I would need on newegg and post it.

Weird that they can be the same product but so different in price.

OEM is bare drive. Warranty and support are limited (since they assume you will be getting warranty and support from whomever built your system). Retail is the drive, plus hardware and cables. Also comes with support and retail warranty.

With retail, the difference in price comes from the warranty and support. That's why it's so much more expensive.

According to the newegg descriptions, the warranty is a 5 year limitied warranty on parts & labor. You may want to check the WD website to confirm the warranty. If it's the same for both then buy oem.

It's not worth the extra $70 to get the drive in a retail box with a sata cable. You're mothboard will come with a sata cable, even if for some reaosn it doesn't they cost about $4.
