Modern Warfare 2 players and reviewers not seeing eye to eye
So reviewers rate this game at 89% or 8.9 out of 10.
The players rate this game rate this game at 1.4 out of 10. Keep in mind only 2000 players have rated it so far.
Metacritic
So the question is, are the reviewers sponsored by corporations or are the reviewers having a protest of some kind? or is the PC version really that bad?
I know that 90,000 people signed some kind of petition against the new servell rules. I sure didn't, I actually hate playing on clan servers. In americas army my bust times were always on public servers. When they went away the game died. So I'm not sure what the controversy is here.
So maybe the game really is terrible on the PC.

om nom nom
How hard is it to submit these reviews? I wouldn't be surprised if there are threads on various gaming boards encouraging users to submitting low reviews for the pc version.

What, people paid off to say good things about a game? That's completely unheard of.

Awesome.
Its just a result of mass internet whining much like the Spore Amazon debacle earlier this year.

Nerdy.......AND sexy
I've never seen such polarization in a game. Weird.

Mr Zurkon is here to kill
It's just ultra pissed off people who care more than the non pissed off people. I fall in the middle somewhere. The whole fiasco sucks, but to be honest I haven't had so much fun with a game in a long time. Single player is standard Call of Duty, but I would probably put this as my multiplayer GOTY. Once you look beyond the dedicated server stuff, there's a really amazing game behind it all.

There is no reason to get it for the console if you are a pc gamer, if you are going to have the same experience in multiplayer you are better off doing it with a keyboard and mouse.

Unless things such as having a low end computer, MP hacks and cheating, MP connection issues, and poorer matchmaking features then go for it.
The reviews have already been shown the game to be superior for the Console especially when it comes to MP considering thats what the game was designed for.
In the end your more then welcomed to do what ever you want, but theres a reason why the console version are getting higher reviews, have sold more copies, and have been been promoted more heavily (IE IW not sending PC review copies) then there PC counter part.
I consider myself more of a PC gamer. I hate playing FPS on consoles. however, from what I've seen, the overall experience has been more favorable on the console so I'm willing to give that a shot on the rental. I think thats worth mentioning to people who have multi platform options are willing to give each an equal shot.

Cheaters will be banned and I have two friends that own the game now that haven't experienced any connection issues yet. What kind of poorer matchmaking features?

That was a poor choice of words on my part. By poorer match making I was referring to the overall MP non-dedicated system that allows for you inviting friends and setting up games.
This includes dropped connections, not being able to join with friends, timing out, and etc. However, that is also as much an issue with a persons PC as it is with anything else but I've read complaints with this regarding the PC quite frequently online.
