Am I lucky, or is this common?
I recently purchased a P3-866. Its sitting on a CUSL2-C (no onboard audio/video) with a golden orb cooler +thermal grease. 256mb of sdram from crucial.com. I decided today to check out how much overclocking goodness I could get out of my rig. Right now, my 866 is running at 1,001 Mhz (1ghz) stable. I slowed the ram timings down for safety, but I plan on bumping them up and seeing how it works. CPU voltage is at 1.8v. At 1.75 it would BSOD occasionally in Win2k.
When I purchased the CPU, I NEVER expected it to reach 1ghz. So, am I lucky or is this common? Thanks!
