    Post T-Bird 800 is only at 950 :(

Well so far I have only managed to get this guy up to 950. I am pretty sure it is not a temp prob. I bumped up the voltage to 1.85 and tried to get 1gig. Booted up to windows fine. Temp was okay. But Quake 3 would lock up as well as 3d Mark 2000. Right now I am at 950 at default voltage (1.75, I think is default anyways). And runs SMOOTH. I have only used the multiplier, haven't used any FSB OCing as my RAM sux and waiting to get a sweet schtick of Corsair PC133 CAS2 stuff.
Anyone have any suggestions or am I SOL?

Oh yeah, is there anyway to go higer than 1.85 other than modding the mobo?

    Now does that help?? No!

Sounds like to me that you are not doing something right with your setup.

Yeah it sounds like it just needs a little more voltage. But I am not about to go solder my board to do it.

I have my 800 running at 1050 with no problems with 3Dmark 2000. I did notice that when I have the voltage set at 1.85 when I check the voltage in windows with Asus monitor, it is reading 1.9-1.92. So, it could be my board pumps a bit more juice than some. I know of no other way than to modify the board to up the voltage.
