Post Help for a Newb overclocker

Well, I have never overclocked anything before. I just bought my second system Duron 600/A7V for the purposes of overclocking. I am looking for a good how to website that would help me out. What kind of speeds can I expect to get out of the 600? My main sys is a TBird 1gig on A7V and I will probably start messin with that as soon as I am done with the Duron. Any1 have any success with the TBird as well? Thanks in advance.

Well, try http://www.tomshardware.com and http://www.anandtech.com -- both have some good info on how to overclock a Duron.

Also, there's a site with some great instructional videos out there. . . I forget what it is off the top of my head, but if you've got broadband, it's definately worth a visit. (Hopefully someone else can post it)

Your Duron 600 should reach 950 MHz +/- 50MHz. That's the range most of them seem to fall into, and it's possible you can get it to go even faster with sufficient cooling and voltage.

The Tbird also has some overclocking potential, but since it's starting at 1 GHz, it's considerably less. However, you shouldn't let that discourage you! With a bit of luck and sufficient cooling you should be able to get a few more MHz out of that sucker.
