MSI has a higher CD burning speed and 8 MB of cache. As far as I know, Pioneer has 2 MB of chache... so I am leaning towards MSI... but I dont want to make any mistakes.

    Thx in advance

If you would have taken the time to read the reviews and do some research on the drives then you would know that the drives are not even in the same league.
The CD/DVD forums all report some issues with the MSI drive. This is most likely firmware related. Like the Optorite drives, their drives are usually based on the Sanyo chipset. This drive is actually the same drive as the Optorite DD0203. The 8MB buffer is firmware dependent as the Optorite model can also be flashed with the 2.09 firmware to also have an 8MB buffer.
Of the two drives, the Pioneer is in a class by itself.
