Trouble finding information on my A8R-MX-Vintage ASUS motherboard
So I bought a used PC off a friend who knows nothing about computers. It has a A8R-MX-Vintage motherboard by ASUS (Socket 939) and I can't find ANY information about it either anywhere on the internet or the ASUS site. I'm trying to figure out about updating the BIOS or this board's overclocking capabilities. My buddy knows nothing of it and got it from his father who used the computer for rendering frames. Anyone have any info/advice? Thank you in advance.

Hammerhead Shark
there doesn't seem to be much info on that board. there is a small FAQ section on Asus's site though, that may be of help.

Hi; Welcome to Sharky's!
This mobo is not supported by ASUS - although they make it!?? What you have is one that comes with some of the VINTAGE barebones. Unfortunately, it is a basic mobo with no OCing ability. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info you guys! Looks like I'll be having to upgrade my MB earlier than I thought, oi.

I got an A8R-MX/SL refurb from NewEgg. Bare board no drivers.

I could use some drivers if it looks the same.
