    Dual-monitor question

For those of you who use dual monitors, in your opinion does it make a big difference if one monitor is the same size/resolution as the other? I've got a 22-inch Viewsonic right now, and want to get a second screen to go with it. I'm debating to go with a 24-incher or get something smaller that' s in the same resolution as my current screen. This isn't really a technical question, I'm just curious about people's experiences and opinions about what's the most practical.

I think that will mostly depend on what you plan to use it for, but mostly that's a personal opinion.

I'm aware of that, I was just curious about people's thoughts from their experience.

I use 3 19's" side by side directly in front of me....and 2 22's" to the left of me. I think it does make a difference if they are all the same size. My eyes can "flow" between them easier because you know approximately where things are. I think it would feel awkward to work with multiple sizes side by side. Just my 2 cents

It depends really. I'll be in the market for a 24" monitor once I upgrade my computer and my current 22" monitor will obviously look different. What I'm going to probably do is buy a stand for the 22" so I can rotate it and put it in portrait mode. That'll most likely be the one I use for web browsing and reading, and it will certainly help when following tutorials since I'm starting to do more development stuff.

I did have dual monitors at one point, but one monitor died on me. It was amazing when I had it though.
