    Post AMD announces .065 Micron Processor Fab.

    WOW!
    AMD has a conference call link posted on their website. They are joining with UMC to start producing .065 Micron chips in 2005!!!
    Any guesses on clock?

    This is a presentation from Intel that covers this a little. (Intel has some great stuff on their R&D site!!!) Check out page 8, remember this graph is on a log scale.

    At .065 the W/cm^2 of a die has passed that of a nuclear reactor and is closing in on a rocket nozzle.
