Greetings-
I am looking for a little help with capturing video games so I can make movies- specifically, I want to capture EverQuest. I tried using FRAPS, but when I view the movies, they are all fuzzy with lines going through them; in essence, totally un-watchable. So, FRAPS is out.
My next thought is can I capture video directly to my Sony TRV-38 Camcorder? I have a Radeon 9700Pro Video card. It does not have Video out as far as I know, but there is a plug on it for an S Video Cable (the black one with many prongs, not the red, yellow and white cable). Is that port for video in or out. I assume video in- which would do me no good. I was hoping to capture directly to the camera as to prevent the associated slow down that occurs when you capture to a hard drive.
Based on the above, do I need to buy a new video capture card? Can someone recommend one? Will a capture card allow me to send the video directly to my Camcorder? How does the card exist/interface with my 9700Pro? I assume the 9700P is still used to draw the games, but how does the video then get sent to the capture card?
Apologies for the rambling, and thank you.
