    It was closed because of spam and flame wars which make it very hard to moderate.

    I hear that people were specifically attacking people in that forum so they shut it down but I do not believe i was around here in those days

    an older member could tell you (this thread doesn't belong here BTW, next time put it in site feedback)

    no, this thread is fine here. We had a large number of AUP violations from that forum, and many, many personal attacks. As a result, it was closed.
