    Samsung 900NF and Windows XP

Having a problem loading the monitor driver from Samsung for the 900NF. I keep getting a "Problem installing the hardware" message- loads Plug and Play monitor w/o problem. I have a TI 4200 w/ 29.80 driver.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Not sure, but does it support the optimal resolutions of the monitor when using the Plug and Play driver? If it does, then you dont need the official driver.

After playing around with the monitor, it works great as a Plug and Play monitor, so I guess won't worry about the Samsung drivers. Interesting though that Samsung releases WinXP drivers for the 900NF and they are unable to load. This monitor is really nice!

LoL didn't know samsung had drivers for their monitors. usually most monitors are plug n play anyways. i mean, how can you install drivers on a monitor if the monitor can't display anything correctly? lol well anyways that monitor is kickass

It might be the driver itself. 29.80 is not an official driver to the best of my knowledge. Use 28.32 or 29.42. I have the same monitor and although I have a different card, mine works with those drivers.

Also you can try using the windows 2000 driver for the 900NF. I did that and it works perfect.
