    Would putting those same files on a cd work? Or are we talking no cd/floppy? Some PCs have Windows-based updaters (Asus) not sure if that has hit the notebooks or not.

    If you've got a CDRom Drive, make a bootable CD. It's how I boot for flashing and ghosting on all my rigs, laptop or desktop

    EDIT: And I can't believe this question was asked by the all knowing Wurm LOL
