    The 2500+ question

    Can you still overclock them? im not all that intrested in overclockin it, but it would be useful to know that i can if i decide to later. im planning on buying one real soon btw.

    You can still overclock the FSB, the multiplier, however, is locked.

    I don't for sure, but they should be able to still hit 2.2Ghz.. at least.

    My multiplier isn't locked, at least I can change it in my mobo bios.

    The newer 2500+ are now all locked by AMD... So you can no longer change the multi...

    Ok, so you still can overclock them, you just cant change the multiplyer. Thanks!

    Yup, pretty everything from week 39 of 2003 and on are locked on all XP chips, not just the 2500+.
