win xp home backup que ?

I just bought a laptop that has win xp home installed & I noticed it does not have backup option under sys tools like win xp pro. How do I backup system state in my laptop? I have an external usb 2.0 hdd for all backups. Rarely lose data that way

if you got a XP Home CD with your laptop instead of a recovery disk then pop it in your drive and go to [CD]:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP and run Ntbackup.msi
If your sig is longer than your post then type more.

Home should have the backup option just like Pro. Your OEM probably took the link and/or software off so that they could put their own backup software on there. Or maybe they're just cruel and want you to lose your data.

No Home doesn't come with the Backup utility installed, you need to install it the way I mentioned
