can any one recomend some site that handle this stuff..and how many 7.1 titles are out there if any..?and where to order them from..?second hand titles are also cool...but 5.1 and up es and es better..
are you talking about DVDs? first and foremost there are no 7.1 dvd titles and there arent going to be any... 7.1 is a marketing gimmick period. im still amazed by how many people are sucked in by this. there are very few dts titles out there at all, and even fewer dts es titles. your gonna just have to do your homework. beyond best buy and amazon.com i cant think of any other places to find well priced dvds.
It is not a gimmick, but it is useless for right now. Both the Dolby and DTS 7.1 sound formats are standards, and they will be adopted. However, this will probably not occur until the next major product refresh - HD-DVD. HD-DVD, whatever standard they choose will most likely support 7.1 audio systems fully.
The president of Dolby once said that their long term goals were closer to a 10 speaker system. This would allow them to most accurately place sounds.
