    Looking to buy 2 SATA HD...

    something that i can bring home and learn how to build a RAID 0 and 1 configuration.

    I don't want to spend an obscence X amount of money.

    Looking @ the WD Raptor kind of blew me away ($182.00 per drive in Newegg).

    Can anyone recommend me a brand that i can go with?
    AMD X2 3800+ @ 2.65Ghz
    DFI LanParty SLI-DR
    BFG 8800GTS 640MB
    2x WD Raptors RAID 1
    2 x 1GB Crucuial Ballastix
    OCZ 420 PowerStream
    Dell 2005FPW

    If you want to "learn" and fool around without spending much money, go buy two basic Maxtor, Western Digital, or Seagate drives online.

    Make sure they are both at least 7200RPM and have 8MB of cache. You could probably pick up two 120 or 200GB drives for under $150.
