Radeon 7000
I haven't really heard much about the Radeon 7000 and 7200 but the 7000 when it comes out will only be $79 US. Is there something about this card that makes it worth this much or is it just a really good deal since it's most likly faster and cheaper then most radeon 1's? And why isn't there much talk about this card other then on the ATI website?

It is the Radeon 1, ATI has repackaged/named the ATI radeon 32 and 64MB SDR boards the 7000 and 7200, so I think the 7000 is the original ATI Radeon 32MB SDR board, Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know about the Radeon 7000 but i think the Radeon 7200 is the same as the original Radeon, it might have something new to it.

Radeon VE 32MB DDR = Radeon 7000
Radeon 64MB SDR = Radeon 7200VE
Radeon 64MB DDR = Radeon 7200
Both the Radeon 7200VE and the Radeon 7200 are Radeon 256 chips and the Radeon VE is a crippled Radeon 256 chip with duel monitor support and is simular to the Radeon mobility.

The 7200 is actually 64MB SDR. I just looked at one today and it uses SDR chips instead of DDR.

I thought ATI was going to release a VE version with SDR and a regular version with DDR? What do I know, I just know that my 64SDR Radeon shows up as a 7200VE with the new drivers.

If that is so, than perhaps the new 7200 is clocked higher than the original 64MB SDR, or they are going to later on release the 64MB DDR under a different name. But I do not know.
