Kinda feels like paying $20 for a game I already own though...even though the graphics upgrade probably took a good deal of effort it's the same game overall.

Hey, I have SSFE, SSSE and SS2, but this game's gonna put a big smile on my face as I love the original, and this one has a massive gfx upgrade (and you guys KNOW what a gfx ho I am ), plus some added features for those who play co-op/online (not a major concern for me as I play SP only).

That's the whole beauty of it!

If you don't want to buy it, don't...but if you're willing to spend $40-50 for a new game, I don't see what the problem is with paying $20 for a game, and then another $18 for a complete graphical overhaul a few years later.

So you only play L4D and Serious Sam single player. There may be something wrong with you

    Well I'm a cheapo so I don't spend $40-50 on any games

I remember Serious Sam II (not the second encounter) being pretty fun. Might have to play that again pretty soon if I can convince some friends to play.

Serious Sam II, the 2nd Encounter made a huge impression on me but when I tried the first serious sam it was pretty lame in comparison. Not sure new graphics are going to help it but maybe.

Now I hope this game is successful because maybe it will spark a new trend redo all those old classics. I just bought Dark Forces (1995) on steam and I've never seen such large pixels. I'm surprised anyone ever played graphics like that.

But I would like to see System Shock be redone a bunch of other too.

So vote with your wallet as everyone says. Buy the HD-redo and they will be inclined to redo more of the classics in HD.

Yeah, I'd love to see Giant: Citizen Kabuto in HD......plus a HD nude patch + jiggly physics.

In Serious Sam the 2nd encounter... I hate to say this but both times I played the game and loved it but both times, years apart, I got stuck in the same damn level and quit the game so I have never seen the end.

It was that level where you bounce up and down like popcorn. Hell I even put on some cheats and couldn't get past it

Ah yes, the part where you had to just onto a pad or sumthin' like that that will bounce you up, yeah, that part was difficult initially, but once you get the hang of it, it isn't that tough (I say that now with confidence as I did finish both FE and SE, but I can't for the life of me recall how I did it though). Fun part about SS is finding all the hidden goodies here and there, I'm sure I'd missed a whole hella more than I'd found.

BTW, did you guys check out the Serious Sam page on steam, I think there's about a day or so left before it's unlocked.....but why the heck isn't it preloading yet?

Unlocks in 21 hours. I still wish it was Serious Sam the 2nd Encounter that was coming out in HD.

The word is that SE will be out soon after FE.....which should be unlocked in an hour's time, I can hardly wait!
