    Both of those combined are $40 and have much better specs than the shiny stuff. Not just specs either, but technology based on decades of tweaking.




    The best headphones I ever heard are from the 70's, Denon AH-D1001. Extremely rare and precious. The only thing that impresses me about modern stuff are large, heavy bass magnets (which both of those headphones I listed are), without distortion at ALL frequencies (not just highs and lows).
