Weird internet problem(cant access kongregate from pc or phone but can from laptop)
Hi all,
As title suggests I am having a bit of a weird problem. Yesterday I couldnt access www.kongregate.com from my PC. I tried the laptop and it works fine. So I tried my android and it didnt work when I was connected to the router but when I switched WIFI off and used 3G i got to kongregate no bother. Now this lead me to believe it must be a router issue, even tho the laptop is accessing kongregate through the same router, the fact the phone worked on 3G and not on WIFI to me meant only one possible cause, the router. So I did a factory reset and I am still getting the exact same results as before. BTW the message I get on firefox is "The connection has timed out The server at www.kongregate.com is taking too long to respond.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
With IE9 the message is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
I have flushed the dns, cleared all caches and history and stuff. I just cant figure out what the **** is happening. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Update: it seems it may be my ISP that is at fault. Their network isn't allowing access to any sites through the pnap network which includes kongregate. it is a holiday today so the network team won't fix it until tomorrow. at least I know what the problem is now.

GO BENGALS!!!!!
Definitely does sound like an ISP problem. Let us know if it's still not resolved.

Problem resolved itself during the night. It was the ISP. Apparently a cable off the English coast got damaged and even though my ISP's software automatically re-routed most traffic to avoid it, for some reason it didnt work on everything. So it took a good few hours before it realised pnap connections weren't working before it corrected itself.
