Kama a tournament sounds great. I know nothing about the multi-player part of the game yet, but I will be happy to feed yall while I learn. =p
fastitocalon, now that you say that I have noticed this trend as well. I wonder if the increased enemy AI per mission has anything to do with this?
Currently Playing: DOTA 2, XCOM Enemy Unknown

Awesome.
Anyone else interested in doing a little XCOM tournament? Is everyone playing on PC?

Haven;t picked it up yet. Waiting to beat orderlands 2 first. But once I do, I'm down for Mp.
If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

It seems to only use a single core. So as more is going on, it pegs the CPU. On my CPU monitor I see a single Core get hammered, while the other 7 are idle.

Thanks.
I broke down and bought it. Besides, it would be sacrilege to XCom of a console.

What you gonna do?!?
Plays better with a controller anyways. Outside of load times the games are exactly the same regardless of console or PC.

DLd it on Steam on Monday. Couldn't wait on Black Friday. Besides, I wanted the PC game since I have not played PC for anything in eons....except TF2.
Anyway I also had to pick up the strategy guide because I couldn't figure out how to get a handle on panic levels which had countries abandoning me left and right. And there is definitely an art to controlling that. Have had no problems with the tactical meat and potatoes part of the games. Easily one of the best games of the year. Addictive as hell.

Named all my soldiers after family members which has strangely made each mission more suspenseful.

I named mine after friends and coworkers. I gave them regular updates on how they were doing and somberly let them know when they died violently (always those damned Chrysalids!).
