Worth putting an SSD in a netbook?
Hey guys I was looking at this SSD drive
http://www.dabs.com/products/ocz-tec...m_content=CE00
I don't know too much about netbooks or SSDs but are netbooks compatible? Is that a good one to go for?

What kind of apps do you use on the netbook that might benefit from better read/write speeds?

i like SSDs in my netbooks because they help with the portability factor (less power usage, less heat, better battery life, more durable to shocks, etc). i wouldnt recommend OCZ though as they have a very spotty reputation for SSD reliability; go for a crucial v4 if you are on a budget.

thanks guys yeah i did read a few negative things on reliability on OCZ drives... I would just use it for the internet and playing older games on it mostly.

I agree with this, but would go for an Intel as they seem to have the best reliability, however for the uses you mention you would probably only notice a difference in battery life.

nope! look at the returns and bad reviews most of them are getting on newegg.com. also memory companies dont really know the details of how a harddrive works cause the hardrive companies have tight patents on the technology. stay away from the SSD drives untill the harddrive companies release them.
