Overclocking?? HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPP
OK I've hit max with my T-BIrd and now I'm going for the extra voltage on the A7V. Here's the deal folks I have a soldering gun, not a low power soldering iron. What I was thinking was getting a little piece of wire hot on the tip of it, probably silver or maybe gold since they conduct well and have relatively low melting points and I own a jewelry store so it's kinda easy to get, and then use it not solder to put on the resistor thingy on the Voltage Regulator thingy. So does this sound like a decent idea? I don't really have the cash to just go out and buy a pencil soldering iron since they aren't really cheap. (unless you know where they are) Also another question is would Radio Shack have what I'm looking for? And last but not least the damn Asus temp reader sucks so does anyone have an 800 T-Bird o/c'ed to around 1+ Ghz so you can tell me what voltage you are running. I've got it at the max on the Asus A7V right now it's rock stable posts much higher too, so from previous experience I know all I need is a little more power to push it that extra mile :-) !!!
