Question video card with 1080i output?

Are there any cards out there that support 1080i hdtv output? read output cause I don't care that a card support 18 hdtv formats in input. I want to plug my computer to my 56' hdtv and get 1080i resolution which would give me something like 1280x1024 in computer resolution.

I actually don't think the Radeon supports 1080i OUTPUT. I don't think there are any cards which support this right now. There is talk about an ATI HDTV tuner daughter card or something similar coming within the next 4-6 months, and perhaps that will enable HDTV output as well.

no the ATI radeon doesn't do 1080i in ouput...the way they say it is confusing...in fact for the last 3 months I thought it did...waiting patiently for it to come out. And I recently emailed them to make SURE it would support it but they said it did not!
