Can't install drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didnt have any problems with my original sblive x-gamer before i upgaded it to 5.1
Can u belive i can't install drivers for my sound card dont think that im some kind of newbied
I dont have the cd that came with version 5.1 but i got the original one so i think the drivers are same
When insert the cd and type the direction in which drivers are located but it says that windows did not find any drivers on the cd
I tryid everything copyed the whole cd on my hardrive and ran it from there downloded drivers from the interenet(maybe i just don't know how to install them right i just click on setup icon and restart my comp. Do i have to do anyelse to install drivers fresh from the interenet) I did everything!
Can anyone help me install the god damn drivers!!!!!
P.S. I never never had that problem before on that cd

Just a thought, but did you uninstall the old drivers first??
