VPN thru router
I'm using 3rd party VPN software in order to access the network at work from home thru cable modem. My question is, can I hook up 2 systems thru a router and still have full VPN functionality w/o having to mess with anything?
2x AMD Athlon-MP 1900+'s
2x Thermalright AX-7's w/Panaflo-L's
Tyan Tiger-MPX

Maxtor Atlas 10k 18.4 gig SCSI-160
Seagate Barracuda III 40 gig ATA-100

Sure, as long as you can get an ip address for the second machine. Some cable companies will allow it free and some will charge you for the second address.
If you want to do some configuration work, you can do it with NAT software (or a box) so you can use private adddresses internally and the single ip address asigned by your cable company.

So if I get a router that does NAT I should be good to go?

all right, thanks for the help, peeps. I bought the Netgear router/fast switch yesterday, and it couldnt have been easier to set up. Just plugged stuff in and turned it on. VPN working like a charm.

Last I checked when I was supporting @home VPNs where banned and if iam not mistaken the ports blocked at the routers. just to keep an eye out make sure your Isp allows VPNs it could save you a heart ache.
