Any news on Richard Garriot?

Anybody heard any news on Richard Garriot (the designer formally known as Lord British)? After leaving Origin following the Ultima IX failure, he seems to have dropped from sight. Did some disgrunted antiAvatar finish him off?

Last I heard he wanted to make some Futuristic/Snowcrash-esque codenamed "X". No word of a new company from him yet (he built his own castle for goodness sake so he should be able to fund a company) but it's sure to happen some time. It may have happened already, who knows.

Thanks Pete. It was a sad end to one of the best series in RPG. It'll be interesting to see if he launches a decent game . . .
