edit: WHen installing v0.7.7a, remember to check all options to be intstalled. I forgot to do this once and didn't end up with all the options. Just though I'd make that clear for everyone

Thanks for the tip. I'm still wondering about all the DSPs. Currently i just have these dsp:

    Resampler (SSRC)
    Volume Control
    Equalizer
    Advanced Limiter
    Convert stereo to 4 Channels

Is there any other DSPs that i should add?
    Thanks

Holy crap, my "convert stereo to 4 channels" actually works now. It never worked in any of the Foobar versions. (not that I'm going to use it anyway)

Personally, I think the Stereo -> 4 Channel messes up the mids. Sometimes I feel bad about using my Ultra's to listen to music in 2.1, but then I fire up Winamp and I'm content again

Yup, it definately recesses the mids.

EDIT: Since I've started using Kernel Streaming, my Z560's don't seem to be as harsh/overly bright.

Do you use dither? (I have my output at 24bits)
Yes, you can. Kernel Streaming is an output not a DSP. Foobar will let you also use as many DSP's as you want.

It definitely does. I think it slurs them a lot.
They just sound kind of all garbled together, when I use it.

I'm glad you guys like Foobar.

    Thumbs up

Wow, this sounds so much cleaner than Winamp. It brings out a lot of details that I couldn't hear in Winamp. The EQ is way better too.. Winamp's EQ seemed to cause a lot of clipping .

Oh, I'm using the nforce2 onboard SoundStorm dealie. I couldn't use above 16bit, and I have to use a lower resampling rate (128k) - 144k and 196k caused an error. 168400 works, but at one point after a few hours the right channel cut out. No idea why.

I haven't yet made the switch.
Maybe because I don't have a good sound card so it doesn't make too big of a difference.

Foobar sounds a tiny bit clearer.
But Winamp 5 is not bad.

oh, I have v0.8 of foobar

Anyways, here are the settings CrawlingEye and myself use:

    Playback tab
Output data format set to 24bit fixed-point padded to 32bit

    DSP Manager tab
Resampler should be active, volume can be as well
    Activate crossfeed while using headphones
Resampler should be set at 192000 (manually enter it), since you have the A2.

    Output tab
Output Method should be Kernel Streaming
Make sure the devices are set to your A2
Buffer length can be set at 4000ms

Those are the settings that are permanent with my Foobar, but I've messed around with others. Feel free to experiment yourself
Um, what settings should I use for my Crystal WDM? (sample rate)
And I don't have Kernel Streaming, is that an A2 thing?
