Good news: I finished the super hard project early. If all goes well, I'll finish the shorter project and be online tonight.

Ive found the soldier class to be by far the best class in the game. Upgrading the turret to heal you and your teammates, and also the ammo regen. And upgrading your bullet mags and dmg. Thoughts? Having a berserker is always nice too though.

I tried to run it briefly - I also had problems with a game unavailable error. I restarted and it decrypted, but nothing happened when I launched. Hopefully it will be fixed by this evening.

A friend of mine is already home and playing, so keep on trying and you'll likely get in. As for me... I won't be home until after 6. -_-

I finally got in and figured I would mess with single player a bit to try out the various classes.

    So far I prefer
    Soldier
    Sniper
    Beserker

I haven't tried Siren yet. I am confused though. Is the multiplayer hosted through Steam or gamefly?

Lots of problems here. Took a while just to get the game started, and once I did, it was laggy as hell when I tried to join a game with Taggart (and got booted any time any sort of menial load process happened).

Then I tried a single player game, and it was STILL running crappy though I had it set to 1024x768 and all the graphic settings on either off or low. I know my comp isn't exactly new, but on just about the lowest settings they provide (outside of resolution, though 1024x768 is lower than I've run anything in YEARS) it should be at least playable.

Updated my graphics drivers (only one update since last time I did it, though) and am currently running antivirus, ad-aware, disk cleanup, defrag, etc. Assuming the game is just buggy as hell since I have another local friend who is having a lot of problems as well, but ultimately it may just come down to me needing to do a complete re-format after a few years of running this comp.

Not that it matters much but I have it running on 2 systems ( win 7 & xp ) and both are running great with co-op and solo. Plan on trying online tomorrow though.

I haven't tried to join one yet. I found game selection pretty slow. What are your gamespy names and I will see if I can host a private game.
