In my machine( P3 667@730,256MB RAM, ASUS CUV4X, Creative GF2 GTS) I've experienced problems with the folllowing ones:

1)SegaRALLY 2 (it wont run at all)

2)Forsaken (runs only in software mode)

3)F22ADF (wont run in Direct3d, runs in software mode)

4)Diablo2 ( unplayable in Direct3d, serious slowdowns when using the software mode)

5) Quake3 (the sky is agly, possibly caused by the S3TC )

6) NBA Live 2000 ( the court lines are aliased even if i use anti-aliasing 4x)

7) FIFA series expept FIFA2001 ( display bugs when using triple buffer)

8)In several games: text lines during the game corrupted. seen on NeedForSpeed games, on NoOneLivesForever

Is that enough?

To say something else, I noticed imsostupid has an admirable tend to sarcasm..which is very impressive and honourable for him cause humor is A talent. Keep up the good work

Maybe i'm a little aggressive to nVidia although i own a GF2 GTS.. Maybe my anger can be explained from the time being a 3dfx fan (I'll never forgive nVidia for buying 3dfx and destroy anything related to it- they could use 3dfx's technology at least)

I hope ATi continues to launches good cards, cause nVidia needed that competition. GF3's being so expensive!!! Though it seems nVidia wont change their minds ( using the GF4MX brand for the NV17 instead of using the GF3MX)

ive played most of those games.. 0 problems. maybe its your fsb o.c.ing that causes some of the problems? try the 23.12's also theyre WHQL certified.

And like I said, when I am finally ready to upgrade the 8500 and the GF4 won't even be in the running anymore.

Heck with my favorite card company making ATI cards now...

...I don't even know if my next card will be a Nvidia..(I have always been a Matrox/Voodoo fan)

And maybe Matrox will pull the magic pixel out of their @ss and all this arqueing going on between the ATI fanboys and Nvidoits will also be for nothing.

yeah man, matrox was cool, but i dont think there heart is in the 3d poly pushing market. there more in the 2d superb image quality arena, aint they. which is good, cause most GF cards have piss poor 2d image quality.

I had the same problems w/ the same games ... with my MSI geforce 2 gts. Diablo 2 wouldnt run in dx mode, need for speed HS had mad problems. But with my 8500 no problems at all, i can play dx on diablo 2 and like 80+fps. But i still love my gts good for my P3 1200 when i get the north 2.0A.

Diablo2 is totally unplayable in Direct3d mode. There are widely known problems.
All i want to say is that while in my old Voodoo2 i could play all games, now i cant.

Think something else. nVidia has bought 3dfx. Why nVidia doesn't create a glide wrapper to allow GF's to be compatible with glide. I have a lot of games based on glide that cannot be played with a GF card. nVidia could develop glide. To give it 32-bit support for example and add all new technologies. Or combine glide with OpenGL. Also nVidia could use 3dfx's technology. 3dfx Rampage was amazing supporting 8x antialiasing, v-buffer ( voxel), t-buffer effects, implementing Gigabyte's technology( Gigabyte was bought by 3dfx). nVidia didnt even try to be assisted by that buy. It tried only to disappear its main enemy from the face of the earth. ( all 3dfx's employees were fired and lost their jobs).

P.S.: Living in Greece, I can confirm ATi hasn't even tried to make the Radeon boards known to the public. We can see the 8500's box only in reviews cause it can't be found in any retail store, even in Athens.
