What's the scariest game ever?

In my opinion, Clock Tower is BY FAR the scariest game I have ever played. Actually, it's so scary, I haven't even played it, only watched people. You are in Europe somewhere(can't remember where) in an old college dorm. There is a 7 year old boy with huge sissors bred into pure evil after 500 years of inbreeding slaughtering everyone. Basiclly, the objective of the game is to get out alive. This monster pops up and kills you in so many ways it's not even funny. Here's one example: You goto into an enmpty dorm room and see some guy rocking back and fourth in a chair wathcing tv. You walk closer and see that his face has been shaved off. From the shadows behind you the monster walks slowly towards you with sissors raised. You run away down the stairs thinking you've lost him. You walk out the front door and he jumps out the second story window and lands the sissors straight through your dome piece. I have also seen times where you would hide behind a tree, and he would come over chop both you and the tree in half. I have played Resident Evil for Gamecube, which is damn scary, but no compitition for Clocktower.

EDIT: It came out for Playstation in 1997 i think

That sounds pretty f*cked up. But is it just you v. the kid? Wouldn't that get a little boring? I've never heard of that game, when did it come out?

On a side note, a few years back I'd heard that Sanitarium was supposed to be a pretty chilling game. It was on sale for like $20 so I bought it. After about 20 minutes in I quit the game and threw the package in the trash, there was just WAY too much damn information to remember.

The scariest game I've played is Clive Barker's Undying. Scared so much sometimes that I had to stop playing.

WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I play Nightmare Creatures alot, but it isn't scary at all. Doom on the other hand was always scary. When you hear those doors slide open while walking through the computer station, it always created a high level of suspence. Catch you off gaurd sometimes.

Aliens vs. predator 2 gave me a bit of a jolt .It was late the lights were off I was walking around as a marine and an alien jump out at me. Onimusha Warlords for ps2 is also kind of scary .

How about wayyyyy back in the day, on the NES console, that old Friday the 13th game.
When the alarm went off signaling that Jason had hostages, and you had to make your way to the camp he was in and look through the dark house. Every time you turned a different direction you'd be thinking he'd be there to pop out and attack you....
freaky stuff to play in the dark.

yup, AvsP2 made me really tense while playing through the marine missions...very creepy lighting and those aliens just came out of no where...

also, undying was pretty scary as well...

and Survivor: the game...
