Mt. Rainier?
I was looking at some new CD Writer drives and in the spec's it says Mt. Rainier supported...can someone explain what this mean.

Yeah it's the ability to write CDRW disks one block at a time. This way people don't have to wait for a CDRW disk to format, they can just use a CDRW like a floppy disk. Put the CDRW in, drag the files over to it like you would with a A: floppy drive and delete or move them as you please.

I believe it is a software-side feature built into XP.

Yeah the idea is that it's built into future operating systems. Win XP has it, and future Linux, BSD builds are supposed to support it. It is used in conjunction with a Mt. Rainier supporting drive.
