how hot should a xp2700+ be running? my averages between 49 - 60 celcius.
Hello,
I just built my new system and I was monitoring the CPU temp. it seems to be at about 55 celcius as an average, but went up to the 60's. Is this normal?? Thanks, Andrew

Thats pretty hot although you don't say how you are measuring the temperatures, is this as reported in the BIOS, or are you using a monitoring program?
What Heatsink/fan are you using? What kind of case cooling do you have? Is the system stable? If it is then you don't need to worry much about heat, you can tell if it is running too hot because it will be unstable, especially restarting when under a heavy load.
