Cool Z680 - Behemoth Bass and quiet surrounds

Well first of wall im glad to say that im very happy whit the Z680 , the bass is simplys gorgeous and the quality of the sattelites and the sub either the sound itself is marvelous , but i have some curious questions about those :

1 - Anyone that have the Z-680 can confirme the 1.1.2 Firmware ? My most preocupation thing is that hissing problem , that i dont have !

2 - theres some configuration on audigy 2 to boost the sattelites ? in overall the sub come over of the sattelites and the bass pass over it , the solution that i found is to lower the sub and boost to maximum volume the sattelites.

3 - The Analog connections between the Audigy 2 and the Control Pod are more recommended that the SPDIF or the optical ??

4 - Anyone knows how to make a perfect placement of the speakers ?? my sub is downside of my desk and the center is above the monitor , the sattelites are placed almost 1 meter ( the frontals ) and 2 meters ( the rear ) .

Thanks for all

3. Yup, the analog inputs the way to go. Using the analog inputs, uses the A2's DACS which are better than the Z680's DACS. Analog input also allow you to get 5.1 sound in music and games, unless the digital input.

4. That sounds like a good set-up you have so far.

* Also disable CMSS in Creative's Console.

PS. You might wanna change your sig, it's too big.

Yup, analog is the way to go for the Z680's.

Have you had the Z680's hooked up digitally the whole time?

That means you've only been getting stereo sound for games and music.

Get using the analog cables fast! The order they go into the Audigy is beside the firewire port, put the yellow one in, beside that put black, and beside that put green. You'll be using 6 ch direct sound.

Yup...digital input is only good for movies. (allows Z680 to do DD/DTS decoding)

When you use the analog inputs, you choose what setting to use on the A2. Eg. CMSS, Stereo surround
