I just formatted my girlfriend's HDD and installed Win98SE in place of WinME and have been experiencing freezes shortly after startup mostly, but other times as well. Here is what she has:

Was it doing the same thing in Win Me?
Sounds like a memory issue to me..If ya have some spare RAM laying around swap it out and see if the fixes it. Quote:

"Freezes are Bazaar" yes, they are, I always see them when I go to Macy*s. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. Seriously, though, the word you're looking for is "bizarre"
