Blurry text - Monitor or vidcard problem?

I kinda just noticed that when my monitor is displaying text, the text the doesn't seem as clear anymore, but actually a little blurry. I know it's not my eyes becasue the text looks fine on my friend's computer. Is my monitor dying or my vidcard (I've only had both for 3 years now).

It's a CRT Samsung 955DF btw.

Cool, Ithaca. Cornell for the win!

Happened with my old Mag CRT. Started to go blurry, the text looked like it was getting AAd, then the colors went. So, i'm guessing in the monitor.

How old was your monitor went it started going blurry? And "AAd" (or did you mean ADD)?

What's your affiliation with Cornell?

sounds like monitor's losing focus...if you're savvy enough, it can probably be fixed by tweaking the innards some.

I'm guessing it's the monitor as well. My Sony G400 monitor from 2001 gets blurry on hot days. If you have a spare monitor, you can put it on your PC to test the text and find out which is the culprit.
