cell phone keeps turning off....need help!!!!
I recently went to the beach and my lg vx7000 cell phone got a little wet. It went into this stupid mode called "car kit" mode which basically makes the phone unusuable. I replaced the battery and the phone was fine.
Now, however, my phone periodically turns off when I have it on. Everything works ok and the battery charges, but the phone turns off...especially after I just made a call. Any help would be appreciated. PS. the phone did not get that wet at the beach.

it doesnt take much wet to mess up electronics...especially in HIGHLY conductive salt water.
I would rec that you use insurance if you got it. |

well I am with the above poster about LG phones. I think they are complete crap (after going though about 6 of then 2 years). Providing that the dye thing on them still looks like it has not got wet take it in for a warenty replacement.
BUt yeah you can try to for a warrenty replacement and see how that goes

When it comes to electronics, there is no "slightly wet". It is either yes it got wet or no it did not. You might as well buy a new handset since getting it wet is not covered under anyone's warranty.

ok...the phone was on top of a chair and a wave came in.
the water didnt even make it over the chair...just a little sprayed onto the phone. what i mean is that the phone was no submerged. just sprayed.

If you were unlucky enough to have any water go into the circuit board, i'm suprised the phone still works at all. It's probably messed up, but see what you can do by stopping in at your provider's store and tell them you're phone just started randomly shutting off, they might replace it if you fail to remember exactly how it happened.
