Just got a canon SD630
...and its awesome. Now I just need to find a good place to buy a case, screen protectors, extra batteries etc. Also, if anybody can recommend a good high speed SD card that would be cool. It came with a 1 gig transcend card. (got the bundle from newegg)
I'm having a hard time taking clear shots inside. It's a little grainy in low light. Is there a way to fix this or a setting that helps out? |

I just bought 2 generic brand batteries on ebay for $10. The canon batteries are $39.99 each. Should I be worried about these batteries destroying my new camera somehow?

I recently purchased the same camera-I actually prefer it over the 2 models above it since the screen size is so nice.

the battery works but they don't last nearly as long as the Cannon battery that came with the camera.. but still a good backup extra batteries for only $10

Lowering the ISO speed will make pictures less grainy, but not as bright. You can compensate by increasing the shutter speed and/or lowering the f/stop if that camera has the capability. My old Canon Powershot A40 has it in a limited fashion, so maybe yours does too.
Lowering the f/stop makes the aperture open more, so more light is allowed in. It also increases the depth of field. http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ca..._sd630-review/ this review has a bit about shooting at in low light conditions. Last edited by ArB; 01-29-2007 at 01:18 AM. |
