ok, I have an AMD kt7/kt7-raid motherboard. It is able to hold my Duron 800 MHz, which is Clocked at 800 MHz right now. The ratio is 100/8.0 The votage is at, 1.6 I think for core, and 3.6 for I/O. I have a VoodDoo 5500, which is set at factory defaults right now.
The grafics are fine at the beggining of a mission, but about 5 min into it, they start getting bad. It's not the quality, like less detail or grafics lag, but it's like the individual frames are not able to change out certian sectors of the image, (image meaning the entire frame for that cycle in the game programe). If you had a frame that was pure green, then changed to one that was pure blue. There would be rectangular and square shapes on the blue that were still green. Get me? That's what it looks like to me. I think it's something with the Chache, but I'm totaly new to all this, and have no clue really. And if it is, I wouldn't know how to fix it. Of course this is happening at 30ish FPS. And the squares and rectangles are small at first then increase in size as time goes on. I don't know that that is what is acctualy happening, but that is the best explination of what I see that I can come up with. At first, when I got my motherboard and cpu installed, and ran the game, it ran great. Then I OCed it to 1GHz with the ratio 118/8.5 I think, and the voltage at 1.85 core and 3.8 for the IO. Then someone suggested reverting back to the old settigns and see if it works better. I did, and it didn't. Well, not entirly true it was better in that the grafixs didn't get as bad, but they were still bad. ------------------ "We are men of action, lies do not become us." -shdwfx [This message has been edited by shdwfx (edited April 22, 2001).]

I might just be crazy but aren't you supposed to keep core voltage around 1.85?
8.1 sounds way to high, I know nothing of durons but 8.1 seems high just here to learn chris ------------------ fdsdf

Why don't you head over here: http://community.sierra.com/WebX?13@...tZb^0@.ee77edf
That's the Tribes 2 Troubleshooting forum, and they're pretty helpful. I haven't had any trouble in Tribes 2 yet with my setup and I'm running in 1024x768x16 with all the settings maxed out. ------------------ Abit KT7A Thunderbird 1ghz 266FSB Crucial 128mb PC133 CL2 Voodoo 3 2000 AGP SB Live! It sounds to me like the Geometry Assist problem with your Voodoo5. I had the same thing with mine, you have to dissable Geometry Assist in your DX options. That should clear up the problem.
