Question Coule someone show me?

I've seen a couple of times people saying that Durons perform as well as equally clocked P3's, and most recently, in something Ganja wrote. Does anyone have a link to a benchmark to show whether this is true or false?

there are a few directly from AMD, but they are celeron vs. duron, the duron blows out the celeron (originally AMD compared Duron vs. P3 and the two were VERY similar, although the P3 did seem to have a slight advantage. www.cpuscorecard.com has the p3 beating the duron by a little

hmmm, i still think a P3 will outperfom an equally clocked duron. And i still think it competes with a Tbird, but the only prob is that the original coppermine core didnt let it scale as high as the thunderbird core. That is where the Tualatin will kick in. watch, you guys will see. its going to be a tbird vs coppermine-T battle, and the NEW P4 vs the Athlon 4... i like intels chances for *COMPETITION* in the near future.

Actually, i wouldnt trust benchmarks on this one.

See, the p3 have more level2 cache. And the duron has a higher fsb. The duron will perform better in benchs like sandra, but it will lose in quake3 and such.
In sandra a 800mhz duron, scores-

CPU Benchmark:
2244 MIPS
1100 MFLOPS

P3 @ 750mhz (100mhz fsb, 50mhz slower then Duron)-

2025 MIPS
1005 MFLOPS

And in CPU multi-media

Duron -

Integer - 4370 MMX
Floating point - 5470 3d Now!

P3 -

Integer - 4070 SSE
Floating point - 4980 SSE

The p3 would score about the same at the same clock speed, and a bit more with the 133mhz fsb.

I honestly think the p3 is much superior then the duron, but would still get the duron cause i could go to 1.4ghz tbird later

The Tbird is waiting for reenforcement,

This is like one of those street fighter games, where you have 2 players to play with, and once one dies, you have the other one to use, but hes still got his first one.

Anyone understanding me?
Meaning the p3 died, or got injured in this case, and the tbird carried on :P
