Unhappy Help S.O.S, i dont understand what this means, i dont want a fried CPU.!

This is with regard to the Asus A7V266-E

Here is some help for all of you A7V266-E Owners. Most of this has been posted before, but not all in one place. Hope it helps you out...

**** {URGENT IMPORTANT INFO}****
Make sure that the CMOS CLR_RTC jumper is NOT connected when you power up. The manual is incorrect, and if you leave it connected you will DAMAGE the CMOS and perhaps Fry your CPU.

i dont understand what this means, if the manual is wrong, who shud i believe then?. abt to get this board this saturday , so before booting the system up, im gonna put the jumper in its correct position, so i want u guys to tell me where it shud be.

That is the jumper that you use to clear the CMOS. It defaults to the other position (only two) so you should be okay. The manual will tell you where it is, just make sure it isn't set to clear before you try booting up .

Ok so the manual isnt incorrect right?....i pasted that from amdmb.com , they suggest that the manual is incorrect, but i will look into it and see where it shud be, what if it the manual is incorrect, and the mobo jumper was fine, and i put it to clear cmos, that would be a complete blunder...can any one else also confirm that the manual is OK ?
