    ...

    The expansion slots suck though.

You can't use the pci-1x between the SLi slots, dunno about the one on top.

Oh well, I'm still buying it and two 6800Us asap.

Don't forget the 1200W power supply you are going to need to run that bugger.

I was about to post the same exact thing. I'll pass unless they redesign it. I'm plenty happy with Abit and Epox for all those years.

I'm sure it's a nice performer but it's way too garish for me.

It can't be THAT hard to set up a nuclear reactor in my closet, can it?

Yeah I know. I've emailed PC Power and Cooling about their "SLi ready" 750 watt psu, but it still isn't available.

I haven't upgraded either of my comps for awhile though, so I want to make this one worth it.

I'm not to fond of the colors either, but I know DFI makes quality enthusiast boards.

    8 SATA!! w00t.

My main concern is the SLi of course, I only use one pci card, and that's my audigy 2.

Also, I heard from a pretty good source at work that the move to pci-express will come by way of the 6900 Ultra, nVidia's winter fresh which will up the core/mem speeds a bit.

    We shall see.

About 200 I'd guess, although nV states SLi boards should start at 150.

i hope ATI starts something like this, or else they would get murdered in preformance, and get taken off their preformance crown, also ATI X800 series actually require less power then the 9800 series, so thats a plus side on the power supply department

    here's what you can do:

get a bunch of smoke detectors
use the radioactive material to make a bunch of tiny breeder reactors
    boil water with reactors
    use steam to turn turbine

realistically, i wouldn't be too concerned about the present lack of a power supply, as none of it is really out yet, and i'm sure there will be a workable solution when the time comes.

Imagine that: a nuclear reactor in my closet. I'd be the envy of every geek around
