I think what pisses me off most is the part of thier statement that A-Vault put up:

"..the PC version of their upcoming third-person shooter will not be released. Stating that the “expected breadth and scope” of the project could not be met given the limitations of PC technologies, the product will instead be released on unspecified next-generation console platforms..." Link to one paragraph on A-Vault: http://avault.com/news/displaynews.a...=11222000-8821

They are saying that PC technology can't handle thier game. I find that EXTREMELY difficult to believe.

maybe the game was more of a consol game like Epsiode one and Racer, also have u seen how many arcade ripoffs lucasarts are doing now! a bloody mario kart, Destruction Derby with guns and another Rouge Squadron clone. I have been losing faith in lec for a long time and this just putst the nail in the coffin. The only decent game they have released in a while is Indina Jones and grim fangdango (whatever), lets hope the new Monkey Island will be good (all non starwars).

    I am done rating now

Really what this means is that one of the major Comps is paying more for the game than one could make selling to PC owners.

Maybe LucasArts just couldn't step up to the plate to write the code for the PC games. They've always introduced me to so many different glitches in games:

    Tie Fighter/X:Wing Alliance-
When your target is selected and in reticle, 'the force' pushes your sights to one side or another, like two positive magnetic forces, so that you can't keep a bead on them.

    Force Commander-
Generous enough space in between menu screens to take shower, eat, write your own game code.
    'Nuff said.

I wanted that Starfighter game to come out on PC, too. Guess they're going in the other direction. When I saw how many games they were planning to release, I was shocked.

I think they have done real Star Wars fans (not this crappy episode one bs) a real favour. I loved Dark Forces, and Jedi Knight, but to make Obi Wan a 3rd person viewpoint ....... That would have been a disaster. You just have to look at the disappointing Deep Space Nine 3rd person shooter based on the UT engine. If it had been left at 1st person, it could have easily beaten STV:Elite Force.
I want to be a Knight of the OC's, but I guess my invite is still in the post....

the last two games that LucasArts has made was Xwing vs Tie fighter and Dark Forces 2. Since then, all other star wars games have been bad. And there reply to the reason for not making Obi wan on the computer is lame. I think the primarly wanted to make the game on a console anyways.

    Wassup SharkyForum Readers,

I used to like LucasArts, but they're last couple games have seriously SUCKED. Anyways, I remember reading last year, that their focus in the future was going to be on developing for the PS2 and XBox. They'd hinted at it, saying that the PS2 had a lot of potential, and that if Microsoft did, in fact, decided to make a system with the said hardware (A year ago's specs) then they would like to develop for it. I think that it's quite lame they would say that PC technology is limiting them. What the HELL is this? Say "The Monitors of Today won't bring out the vibrance of the lighting effects we would like to create here at LucasArts" but don't say the PC doesn't have enough power for your game. What the HELL are you making the video cards render, scenes created on Bryce3D in real-time? Sh!t that's pretty lame, anyways, I don't like LucasArts games, so it wouldn't make a difference to me anyways, but I know a LOT of people would have liked to see this game released some time soon.
