ide hard drive to laptop?
thinking about getting a laptop but have gotten used to huge hard drives. can i use my desktop hard drives externnally and attach them to a laptop? I dont want to have to go out and buy new hard drives since i have 2 80 GB 7200 rpm ata133 hard drives that I dont need.

If you get a USB enclosure for an IDE hard drive, it'll connect externally to a laptop just fine. If you want to go that route, you'll either want to get a laptop that supports USB 2.0 out of the box or you'll want to get a PCMCIA USB 2.0 adapter.
