I think UT2k4 will be great. I'm looking forward to the collector edition with the map training DVD included.

It sounds like ut2k3 with vehicles and a small graphics upgrade and expect people to buy it.

Actually, that's exactly what it is. If you own UT2k3, you get a $10 discount. So it sort of like an expansion pack for UT2k3. I don't know if it will be as fun as the original UT, but for the price I don't think it will be a bad purchase.

Edit: Make that vehicles, small graphics upgrade, and dedicated voice over internet. The collector edition will come with an instructional DVD that shows you how to make a mod. Even if the game blows, there should be some serious mod potential coming out it.

the game has all ut2k3 content in it...plus all ut2k3 mods are already compatible with 2k4 so mod makers won't have to start all over again...the vehicle video that was released a few days ago looks amazing...I'm really looking forward to it...

If it's just UT2k3 with vehicles then I won't be wasting my money. Unless of course some good MOD teams get into it (which never really happened with UT2k3, but theres hope). UT2k3 sucked majorly, and I don't think vehicles alone could salvage such weak gameplay.

Maybe you're not aware of it, but go to http://www.unrealtournament2003.com/downloads.php and check out the "Epic Bonus Pack". It's about a dozen new maps, new voices, etc., and it's not bad for free. They work great, I haven't had any crashes or bug issues. Be warned: it's a huge DL, so I wouldn't even attempt it on dial-up.

Hi Aztec,

UT2K4 with come with a mail in rebate for UT2K3 owners. Most likely you'll send it in with the front page your UT2K3 manual and get $10 back by mail. This seems like a sweet deal for me, because I picked UT2K3 up for $20 a couple of months ago. UT2K4 will include Assault mode like the original UT. Yippie!

Since I never really played UT2K3, UT2K4 looks awsome to me. I just watched the IGN video review and it looks pretty sweat. Then again I'm a huge fan of Tribes and Tribes 2, and UT2K4 is looking alot like it.

Have you tried BF1942? It's similar to Tribes 2, but much better.
