    will pay $$ for someone to write a semi-complex program

    im looking for someone so is pretty advanced, this program doesn't need to a have a gui, just needs to work and be stable..

    needs to interface with IRC w/ upon execution of a trigger the program needs to compile mpeg files, and rar them up. If you know how to do those two steps then the rest will be easy.

    It's actually probably less illegal than the stuff everyone else is doing on Kazaa and other peer-to-peer sharing networks.

    if you're curious i record a lot of TV, and let my brother back home download (hes working all through prime time) I waste so much time doing alot of those steps, I'd rather just have a program do it all for me, and considering im a IRC monkey what better way to handle th e program

    well, do you want to write your own rar problem ? that would take months, or does winrar have a nice some windows messages build in to it like winamp so it can be controled by aother problem. IF this is the case, winrar will have to be open all the time.

    i dont understand what you want done, can you explain it more clearly.
    cause what i understand is that once IRC is opened
    you want a movie compiled(being into what? converted into another format..?)
    and then after when thats done you want it to zip up and ready for you..?

    if thats what you want , then i can easily make a batch program to do that, its beyond easy.

    if thats what i'm understanding that you want done.
