NullPointerException
Delphi for .NET
Per a request, I'm delving into Delphi for a little while. I'm having trouble getting started though as webpage after webpage just babbles about building interfaces and database connections. But what I need are standard numerical analysis tasks like creating 1D and 2D arrays and working with 3rd party .NET assemblies.
I know Java and C# well, but Delphi's syntax is very different. I know its based on Pascal, but I haven't touched Pascal since about 1984, and it didn't look anything like this.
I know our resident Delphi pushers have both been banned, so I'm reaching out for any good books or online material that talks more about 'real' programming (crunching numbers) than all the regular interface and data handling fluff.
Open Source is free like a puppy is free.
It's only when you look at an ant through a magnifying glass on a sunny day that you realise how often they burst into flames.
