I owned a Hypersonic desktop (AMD 1800+) for about three and half years (decided to give a go at building my own this past June, and am SO glad I did) and it was fantastic. It was definitely a little loud, but I think I got it before noise pollution was really taken into consideration by manufacturers. It served me well, though after having built my own, I don't think I'd ever go back to a custom built company- its far more satisfying and cheaper to do it yourself. Laptops, on the other hand, are another story and I'm sure that they are of the same quality as Hypersonic's desktop products. Their customer service is quite efficient (though I never had any significant problems, they did respond to my e-mail questions promptly and effectively).
